LAKELAND, Fla. —The JP Lamborn Co. plant here has been named one of Polk County’s Best Places to Work in the Small Business category. The county's Best Places to Work awards are given by Career Source of Polk County in four categories: Small Business, Medium Business, Large Business, and Employers of Distinction.
The awards were annouced during a recent sports-themed breakfast attended by numerous companies.
“A ton of hard work went into creating an environment we are proud of. Now, we are not the only ones who know,” said Jason Lamborn, president at Lamborn, a manufacturer of flexible air ducts.
“It was a proud moment when they called our names to come up and get the award,” said Seth Gilland, operations manager at the plant.
The award presentation was held at the RP Funding Event Center in Lakeland. Mayor Bill Mutz was among the attendees.
“To be recognized with an award such as this, it all starts with JPL and their host of great employee programs and benefits,” Gilland added. “On that foundation, we have built an environment of listening, responding to employees, and fostering a culture of fairness and opportunity.”
