Nick Arch joined Carrier as part of the financial leadership program in 2009. Since then, he has held 11 positions with increasing responsibilities. From leading marketing and innovation functions to serving as the chief of staff to the chairman and CEO, culminating in managing director of Residential HVAC, Arch has had an impressive career in the HVAC industry.
One of his notable contributions to the industry includes developing a 70-page whitepaper outlining projected changes to the North American residential HVAC market over 5-10 years and how Carrier needed to position itself for success against inevitable channel disruption. Just three years later, Arch developed a new digital business model and launched a single market pilot in less than 7 months with a 100% digital sales process and full marketing plan, 20+ digital website integrations, and local field technician training.
Arch’s years of experience prepared him for his most recent promotion into managing director of Residential HVAC, where he is responsible for a $5 billion business, five manufacturing facilities, and four distribution centers. He is at the forefront of the upcoming refrigerant transition and is dramatically improving the customer experience for Carrier dealers, distributors, and homeowners.
“In the coming years, I’d like to continue growing my scope and responsibilities as a people and processes manager,” Arch said. “I believe there is an opportunity for me to have a tremendous impact on those I lead, and to help apply their talents towards the betterment of the industry, both in this role and as a future CEO.”
