As executive director of the Conditioned Air Association of Georgia, Tucker Green works directly with the state legislature, licensing board, and code board to support all of the HVAC contractors in the state of Georgia.
Green has been around the HVAC industry for his entire life. His grandfather started an HVAC business in 1971 that still operates today with his father and uncle.
“I spent many summers helping on job sites or around the warehouse,” Green said. “Those times taught me many great lessons. I’m honored to serve the industry and the hundreds of small business like my family’s in my current role.”
Under his watch, CAAG continues its efforts to limit permit and licensing fees and has implemented a statewide benefits program that allows CAAG members access to low-cost health insurance for their employees. CAAG holds an annual meeting in early spring that provides a continuing education program along with a trade show. Green can also be found traveling the state of Georgia recruiting members for the association
During his two years as executive director, they have set several records for the association with meeting attendance and financial goals. Also, they have made some steady progress working with their state and local leaders on regulatory and licensing reform in Georgia.
“My goals are to continue to help our great industry here in Georgia and beyond where I can,” Green said. “Some areas of my focus are to help small businesses by reducing burdensome regulations, advocating for more consistent parameters around inspections, and permitting.”
