Alek Ivanov faced a life-changing decision when he was 22. To hear Ivanov explain the situation, it was either be a loader in a Russian food store or go into HVAC.
“I had no idea what HVAC was,” he said. “I was living in New Jersey and did not know anybody. I did not even have a car. I was promised $8 an hour if I could get a car to drive one of the senior installers that had lost his license. This was my humble beginning.”
Fast forward 16 years and Ivanov has built Synergy3 from the ground up. The company recently received the Bryant Medal of Excellence for the second year in a row. The core values for the company are quality, communication, and respect, and their motto is “I am here to make your day better.”
From humble HVAC beginnings, Ivanov has made a mark on the industry.
“My career goal is to leave some legacy behind when I am done with HVAC,” he said. “I have something in the works right now with Carrier/Bryant that will have a big impact on installers across the nation. I was an installer when I came into the industry, and I am always looking out for my installation teams.”
