Jack O’Connor
Jack O’Connor has been involved with the industry for almost his entire life. His parents owned Fiddelke Heating and Air Conditioning for 25 years before O’Connor took over.
“My father has been a part of Fiddelke for almost 40 years,” he said. “I would come to the shop and help him when I was a kid — and as I grew up, I would work summers and holidays. I spent a lot of time in the ‘bone pile’ scrapping metal, and I enjoyed riding along with my father on service calls. I decided to go to college for HVAC and come back and take over the business.”
He has a niche for high-end equipment and has received certification in geothermal and hydronic heat. Since taking over the business, O’Connor’s mission has stayed true to the values of the company that his parents have built. Part of Fiddelke’s culture is to “treat customers as if they are family” and to “always strive to provide the best service.” He loves the customer service side of the industry. O’Connor talks to countless customers every day, problem solving to help meet their needs.
He recently completed extensive VRF training and transitioned the service department from pen and paper to a completely online dispatch program.
“I want to grow the company without sacrificing the integrity of the company,” O’Connor said. “We continue to have the goal of hiring more skilled technicians to take on our growing number of customers. Each year, we add more life-long customers, and I strive to make sure we have the manpower so that these customers are able to rely on us.”
