Alberto Reyes is the go-to person for technical advice for the team of 40 technicians at Bill Joplin’s Air Conditioning and Heating. His expertise and knowledge in the field are unmatched, and he is always willing to share his insights and best practices to help the team provide the highest level of service.
He started at Joplin's as a residential service technician and easily worked his way up through multiple leadership positions in his 7 years at the company. He provides 24-hour, over-the-phone technical advice to technicians and will even go out of his way to arrive at jobsites to teach and assist. His ability to troubleshoot and solve even the most complex HVAC problems is truly impressive.
“My main goal is to contribute to the industry by training and educating future technicians and encouraging a strong commitment to excellence and technical abilities within them,” Reyes said. “By transferring my knowledge and experience, I aim to cultivate a new generation of skilled professionals who can effectively serve our customers and the general public.”
Reyes has contributed to streamlining the company's process of conducting complete system assessments, shifting the focus from solely fixing the equipment to considering the overall functionality of the HVAC system. Rather than simply replacing a part, they now prioritize evaluating the entire system, considering factors such as ductwork, proper airflow, and design conditions at each stage of the troubleshooting process. This approach has yielded more comprehensive solutions and improved the overall efficiency and performance of the systems they service.
“I like to think of it as we prioritize curing the root of the problem over treating the ‘symptoms’ of the system,” Reyes said.
