NORFOLK, Va. — Hobbs & Associates, which provides HVAC products and engineering services for commercial and industrial buildings, and investment partner Madison Dearborn Partners have completed several acquisitions that expand Hobbs’s geographic footprint and capabilities across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast regions of the U.S.
Following a strategic combination with longtime affiliate Insight Partners, Hobbs has acquired several HVAC industry companies.

Hobbs has acquired these businesses, which will continue to operate under their existing names:
• Insight Partners, established in 2016, is an HVAC consulting firm serving engineers, contractors, and building owners across Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
• Bay Associates Group Inc., established in 1974, represents plumbing and mechanical equipment manufacturers in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
• Jobe Industrial, a subsidiary of Bay Associates Group, has been a provider of energy measurement and steam control products, process control, instrumentation, and steam solutions across the Mid-Atlantic region for over 65 years. Serving Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
• C.G. Wood Company LLC is a manufacturers’ representative for commercial and industrial HVAC products. The company has served Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia for more than 40 years.
• Energy Transfer Solutions is a provider of specialty commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and services, serving customers throughout the Tri-State area of Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.
• The Kirkman Oliver Company is a provider of laboratory airflow control systems solutions. TKO represents Phoenix Controls, Aircuity Systems, Strobic Fans, and Danfoss Valves, specializing in educational, medical, and laboratory applications. Serving Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, and New Jersey.
• Klima New Jersey LLC is a provider of specialized commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and services in Northern New Jersey.
• Klima New York LLC, established in 2011, is an HVAC specialist representing equipment manufacturers, and a provider of variable refrigerant flow (VRF) technology in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
• Engineered Building Systems (EBS), based in Wilkes-Barre, Penn., is a manufacturers’ representative specializing in designing and applying HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings. Serving Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Delaware, and West Virginia.
• Etairos HVAC, founded in 2020, is a manufacturers’ representative firm, specializing in the sales, service, and integration of equipment, components, and aftermarket parts for commercial, institutional, and light industrial HVAC applications. Serving Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
