PORTLAND, Ore. — AnswerForce, a home and field answering service, has donated two million meals through its Giving Back program.
The program began at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, in April 2020, when AnswerForce began donating 1% of its revenue to food banks each month, the company said in a press release. The donations were aimed at providing vital meals across the country to help communities in need, the company said. In November 2023, the company total passed the two million meals milestone, with donations to more than 230 organizations nationwide.
The food-bank organizations AnswerForce has supported in the past three years include:
● Utah Foodbank, a nonprofit dedicated to “Fighting Hunger Statewide.” The charity provides food assistance to people in all 29 Utah counties.
● United Food Bank, a cross-agency organization that distributes 52,000 meals to Arizona citizens every day.
● Feeding America. The donations were in support of the charity’s disaster response program to provide immediate support to those affected by Hurricane Ian.
“Contractors are at the heart of their community. They support businesses and individuals every day. Our monthly donations are a small way of giving back to those communities,” said Craig Cockburn, the head of marketing and impact at AnswerForce. “Just as everyone deserves shelter and warmth, everyone should know where their next meal will come from. We’ll continue to support communities, business owners, and the organizations fighting to eradicate food poverty across the United States.”
“We hear daily how our customers help their communities,” said Bethany Ripoyla, operations leader at AnswerForce. “Being able to support organizations across the country that are at the heart of supporting those communities is both humbling and incredibly important.”
