CLEVELAND — Danny Reddick was recently honored with the 2023 HVAC Contractor of the Year Award from the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors–National Association (PHCC).
Reddick, president of Reddick & Sons in Manassas, Virginia, was given the award in October during the PHCC’s annual conference — PHCCCONNECT2023 — in Cleveland, Ohio.
Under Reddick’s leadership, the company has placed a strong emphasis on staff training, ensuring expertise in plumbing, HVAC, gas, and electrical services, the PHCC said. It has dedicated a large space in its 10,000-square-foot facility to training, the PHCC said.
The company also employs innovative management techniques as well as time-saving procedures such as bar-coding of parts, electronic dispatching of technicians, shop prefabrication, and other practices that increase productivity as well as customer satisfaction and job quality, the PHCC said.
Reddick is active with the PHCC, both locally and at the state level. He serves as the secretary-treasurer of the Virginia chapter. He is committed to the advancing the industry and currently has four apprentices, implementing PHCC’s apprenticeship program through the PHCC Academy, the PHCC said.
“He ‘walks the talk,’ providing exceptional service, coaching, and educating apprentices in both HVAC and plumbing and being a genuinely nice guy,” said Susan Milhoan, executive director of PHCC of Virginia.
Beyond business, Reddick & Sons is deeply committed to giving back. The company’s contributions to organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the Prince William Historic Preservation Foundation reflect its dedication to enhancing the public image of the plumbing, heating, and cooling industry, the PHCC said.
“If Danny Reddick is the future of the trades,” reads his nomination, in part, “we are in good hands.”
