For the 10th year in a row, The ACHR NEWS is doing its part in recognizing the young guns of HVAC.
HVAC is a graying industry, which means it’s more important than ever to uplift those who will carry the trade into the future. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, a projected 4.4 million people will turn the traditional retirement age (65) each year, from now through 2027, with over 75 million Americans expected to retire by 2030. And the average age of HVAC professionals is around 55 years old — meaning that in a mere 10 years, a majority of the current HVAC workforce will likely no longer be working.
Realizations like this are exactly what first prompted The ACHR NEWS to start highlighting those in the industry who are, well, not nearing retirement age. In other words: the young guns who will be leading the HVACR industry for years to come.
Individuals from every sector of the industry will be considered for this year’s Top 40 Under 40, including manufacturing, distribution, sales, engineering, marketing, contracting, and more. Some individuals may have grown up in the HVAC industry — perhaps through a family business. Others may have fallen in love with the industry and joined mid-career. Either way, those recognized will be trailblazing the industry, making their mark, and shaping its path for years to come.
Do you know a deserving young person who deserves to be highlighted in this year’s Top 40 Under 40? Nominate them here. Or meet the winners from years past.
