WILMINGTON, Del. — The Chemours Co. has announced the appointment of Shane Hostetter as CFO, effective Monday, July 1. Hostetter will lead the company’s finance, investor relations, corporate development, strategy, and risk management departments.

“Shane is a welcome addition to the Chemours team,” said Denise Dignam, the Chemours president and CEO, in a press release. “With over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of finance and a deep understanding of the chemicals industry, Shane is uniquely positioned to drive long-term value for shareholders.”

Hostetter joins Chemours after 13 years at the Quaker Chemical Corp. (Quaker Houghton), where he had served as CFO since April 2021. He had served in several executive-level leadership positions during his career at Quaker Houghton, including vice president of finance, chief accounting officer, and global controller.

Prior to working at Quaker Houghton, Hostetter had held financial leadership roles at Pulse Electronics Corp., and he had started his career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Hostetter is a certified public accountant and has a master’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance, from Villanova University.

With Hostetter’s appointment, Matt Abbott, interim CFO since February, will resume his prior role of senior vice president and chief enterprise transformation officer.
