SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY — Building Performance Institute (BPI) is seeking an experienced, strategic, and forward-thinking individual to serve as Chief Executive Officer.
The Chief Executive Officer will lead the organization toward a future that includes thriving home performance businesses and training centers, economic opportunity for contractors and professionals, and improved housing stock for our nation. The new CEO will champion BPI’s values in advancing equity and quality in the home performance industry.
The successful candidate will combine the ability to leverage partnerships and collaborations, a keen eye for market opportunity, deep respect for integrity in certification and standards development, and commitment to excellence in building science.
BPI’s standards and certifications are the cornerstone of residential building improvement in the United States. BPI’s current priorities include developing and updating certifications and standards to meet current industry needs, growing the network of BPI Test Centers that deliver training and administer certification exams, developing stackable credentials to empower contractors focused on home performance and decarbonization services, and equipping the industry with tools and strategies to recruit a growing workforce.
BPI has partnered with executive search firm Nonprofit Resources to lead the search for the new Chief Executive. The group will work closely with outgoing CEO Larry Zarker and BPI’s Board of Directors to find the next CEO and ensure a seamless leadership transition.
