ST. PAUL, Minn. — Marsden Mechanical, a subsidiary of Marsden Services LLC, a national facility services provider, has acquired Feldkamp Enterprises, a fabrication plant and mechanical services contractor specializing in HVAC piping fabrication and HVAC service work and operating in Ohio and surrounding states.
As part of the transaction, Marsden also acquired Metal Craft, a subsidiary brand of Feldkamp that specializes in sheet metal fabrication for decorative hoods for high-end residential properties. Feldkamp Enterprises is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a secondary office location in Columbus.
The acquisition will enable Marsden to expand its mechanical maintenance division into Ohio, a press release from Marsden said.
Feldkamp was established in 1965 and offers an extensive range of mechanical and plumbing services for commercial and residential properties. Feldkamp has more than 130 employees and services clients throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
“Feldkamp is an incredible acquisition for Marsden,” said Derrick Gorden, president of Marsden’s mechanical division. “We have an established presence in Ohio for our janitorial and security lines and wanted a strong, established partner in this market to expand our HVAC and mechanical capabilities. Feldkamp not only has the expertise and traction in the market, but also a strong team and a niche set of skills that make them very competitive.”
Feldkamp and Metal Craft will continue to operate under their current brand names. The former owner of Feldkamp and Metal Craft, James “Beau” Feldkamp Jr. is assisting in the transition and will remain actively engaged, the press release said.
“I wanted to make sure we found a buyer who would keep the employees in mind and run a good business,” said Beau Feldkamp. “We have a great culture — we provide good-quality work that people pride themselves in doing. I wanted to find a company that would appreciate that and keep it going, and Marsden was the right choice.”
