Myers expressed his views at a media meet and greet event, held at the AON Center after the close of the first day of the International Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition. The theme for the event was: "Together, We Can Do More."
"With our acquisition of York, we have created an even stronger, more diversified company," said Myers. "It's a natural combination that's totally focused on what customers want – now and in the future." Myers, who was joined by other top Johnson Controls and York executives at the event, informed members of the trade press and invited guests that Building Efficiency business will offer a combination of technical, operational, and financial solutions "that will make buildings and infrastructures better."
Alex Molinaroli, vice president and general manager of North American Systems, Building Efficiency, mentioned that the York name will remain and not be dropped. Molinaroli is responsible for the Johnson Controls HVACR systems business. This includes system sales and operations and engineered systems sales and distribution.
