NEW YORK, NY — A start-up company specializing in the development of Internet-enabling technologies, eDevice™ Inc. has been awarded $3.4 million in venture capital funding to support the development of Internet technology.

SmartStack, a new technology created by eDevice in 1999, allows connection to the Internet without a personal computer and has applications including the control of home and commercial heating and air conditioning systems.

Distribution for eDevice technology is currently being set up, and will create partnerships with integrators, application service providers, and Internet service providers.
