Code hearings begin at 2:30 p.m., Sept. 19 and address several topics including International building, residential, fire, energy conservation, fuel gas and more. Preconference activities begin on Sept. 16 with a workshop: “Increasing the Credibility of the Code Official.”
Other highlights include a series of seven seminars presented by BOCA staff entitled “Transition to the International Codes.”
Invited speakers will also cover such topics as Product Approval and the International Codes, standardization in Engineered Wood Products, and IBC Fire Protection. Finally, the conference will feature a Crackerbarrel, a series of roundtable discussions of eight to 10 people led by a presenter, covering 40 topics, moving from table to table every 25 minutes.
