  • Randolph Bard, the second-generation family leader of Bard Manufacturing (Bryan, OH), was inducted into the Modular Building Institute Hall of Fame for his significant hvac contributions to the modular building industry. Bard retired from the company in 1981 after 55 years of service.

  • Dennis Flint, president of the Taylor Made Group (Richmond, VA), announces that Taylor Made Environmental, Inc., has acquired an interest in its Italian distributor, Condaria, srl. Condaria, based in Milano, Italy, has been a key distributor of Taylor Made’s Marine Air Systems air conditioning products for over seven years. According to Jack Crews, president of Taylor Made Environmental, Condaria will operate under the same name and there are no plans to change the management or activities of Condaria.

  • The board of directors of York International Corp. (York, PA) recently declared the regular quarterly dividend of $0.15 per share on the common stock of the company. The dividend is payable June 29, 2001, to stockholders of record at the close of business on June 20, 2001.

  • Carrier Corp. (Syracuse, NY) has appointed Shore Distributors, Inc. (Salisbury, MD) to sell and distribute its Carrier brand products in counties in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. “Shore’s existing infrastructure and focus on customer service will bring strength to the Carrier brand on the Delmarva Peninsula,” said Kelly Romano, vice president of distribution for Carrier.

  • Leslie Controls, Inc. (Tampa, FL) announces the formation of the Circor International Thermal Fluid Control Service Centers. The Thermal Fluid Controls group is comprised of Leslie Controls, Kieley Mueller, Laurence, Spence Engineering Co., Nicholson Steam Trap, CPC-Cryolab, and Rockwood Swendeman. Circor Service Centers provide services designed to assist in the installation and maintenance of fluid regulation systems.

  • Baldor Electric Company (Fort Smith, AR), a manufacturer of industrial electric motors and drives, announces an agreement to purchase Pow’r Gard Generator Corp. (Oshkosh, WI).

  • Environmental Technologies Corp. (EVTC) (Fort Worth, TX) announces the resignations of David A. Keener as president and Timothy J. Hinkhouse as chief financial officer. The company’s chief executive officer, Bob Stephens, indicated that he would assume Keener’s responsibilities as president of EVTC. In addition, Rich Dykstra has been appointed president of Full Circle Corp., a subsidiary of EVTC.
  • Excellence Alliance, Inc. (EAI) (Cincinnati, OH) has entered into a partnership with Unico, Inc. (St. Louis, MO). The agreement will provide incentives for EAI members to purchase and install Unico products, including the company’s flexible mini-duct systems.
