SYRACUSE, NY — Carrier Corp. announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire A.T. Distributors, an independent distributor of Carrier residential and light commercial products headquartered in Memphis, TN, effective Dec. 31.

A.T. Distributors has been distributing Carrier, Bryant, and Payne hvac equipment since 1957.

Selling primarily to dealers and contractors with distribution and sales locations serving portions of western Tennessee, eastern Arkansas, and northern Mississippi, the 94-employee company has 2000 projected revenues of approximately $40 million.

“Carrier is focused on creating a more flexible, effective and efficient distribution channel, one that is closer to the customer,” said Don Cawley, president of Carrier Enterprises.
