York International Corp. (York, PA) reports record second quarter results. Net sales were $1.06 billion, 5.1% higher than the $1.01 billion reported for the same quarter of 1999. Gross profit of $245.4 million was 6% higher than 99. Net income was $45.7 million with diluted earnings per share of $1.20 vs. $1.01 for the prior year.

Eaton Aeroquip (Maumee, OH) has signed a letter of intent to purchase Frederick Duffield Pty Ltd. (Sydney, Australia), and its overseas operations, in a transaction for cash. Terms were not disclosed.

Invensys Building Systems (Rockford, IL) has been designated a corporate-approved provider for Marriott International and all Marriott properties in the United States and Canada.

United Dominion Industries Ltd. (Charlotte, NC) reports second-quarter net income before non-recurring items of $30.8 million, or 79 cents per share, on sales of $626.9 million. This compares to $27.5 million, or 69 cents per share, in last year’s second quarter on sales of $549.3 million, a 14% increase in both sales and earnings per share.

AAON, Inc. (Tulsa, OK) announces record net sales and earnings for the second quarter. Sales for the period climbed 22.4% to $38 million from $31 million for the corresponding period in 1999, while net income rose 37.5% to $3.3 million or $0.54 per share compared to $2.4 million or $0.38 per share for the same period a year ago.

Rittal Corp. (Springfield, OH) has updated its software tool to aid in the selection of climate control equipment for enclosures and has made it available for free on the company’s website at www.rittal-corp.com.
