The BACnet Manufacturers Association (BMA), headquartered in Boston, MA, recently announced the launch of an intensive year-long membership campaign. BMA is an organization that encourages the successful use of the BACnet data communication protocol in building automation and control systems through interoperability testing, educational programs, and promotional activities.

Members in BMA include companies involved in the design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of BACnet-control equipment. Members are entitled to participate in working groups, meetings, and seminars sponsored by BMA; use of the BMA logo; updates on BACnet Testing Laboratory (BTL) testing procedures; and use the BTL for product compliance and multi-vendor interoperability testing.

BMA plans to have a membership booth at the upcoming BACnet Interest Group-North America (BIG-NA)/BMA Annual Conference, to be held Oct. 8-10 at State College, PA. The association will also have a booth at the 2001 Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration (AHR) Expo to be held in Atlanta, GA.
