The ProPress System™ is designed to crimp and connect copper tubes in seconds for the heating market, says the company. Designed as a replacement for the traditional sweat method of connecting copper tube, the system consists of an electro-hydraulic tool with interchangeable jaws that crimp 1/2- to 2-in. fittings, and a line of specially designed copper fittings in the same size range. The new system joins tubing by crimping the fitting around the tube to form a watertight connection. The system saves time and lowers installation costs for contractors, the company says.
