This automatic air vent eliminates the accumulation of troublesome trapped air in hydronic systems, says the company. The Number 400 vent is designed so that accumulated air allows the float to drop, causing the air to be vented through the valve. As the liquid level rises, the float rises to close the valve. The unit features an anti-rotation, anti-vibration float system for reliable venting and long life, the company says. By removing accumulated air, the vent increases heat transfer and comfort, and reduces noise in the system, says the manufacturer.
