PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Sheet Metal Workers’ International Associa-tion (SMWIA) and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) have developed a new testing, adjusting, and balancing certification program. The program is being conducted by the Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Bureau (TABB), and was first introduced at a ceremony this past August at the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Center (JATC) in Philadelphia, PA. According to the Sheet Metal Contractors Association (SMCA) of Philadelphia, TABB has built the program from the foundation of the International Training Institute and its 160 training facilities.
