The Superstat, jointly developed by Honeywell and Comverge Tech-nologies, is a state-of-the-art, programmable thermostat with a built-in wireless radio frequency (RF) communication module.

The thermostat allows residential customers to use their air conditioning and heating more efficiently and lower their energy usage. Utilities benefit by avoiding peak electric charges.

Frank Magnotti, president of Comverge Technologies, said, “Superstats are an effective way for utilities to combat the power shortages that have been witnessed across the country.
