This extended-surface, pleated panel filter, called the PerfectPleat™, is made with DuraFlex™, a self-supporting media designed to provide consistent performance and durability, says the manufacturer. Since the media is self-supporting, it does not require the wire backing typical of conventional pleated filters, the company says. The media can endure significant abuse and remain functional, for use in demanding applications. The one-piece perimeter frame gives the unit excellent overall strength, says the company.
