AAFA recommends controlling air quality in the home as an effective method to reduce allergy and asthma symptoms.
“AAFA hopes through our educational agreement with Lennox, we will increase awareness of allergies and asthma and the role environmental factors, such as indoor air quality, play in proper management of these chronic and sometimes deadly illnesses,” said Mary Worstell, executive director of AAFA.
The cooperative agreement will include awareness and education of IAQ for consumers. Health care providers will be targeted to assist in informing consumers in this educational campaign.
“A big component of the Lennox-AAFA agreement is education for consumers,” said Tom Overs, product marketing manager of Lennox Industries. “AAFA is known for its advocacy of research and education of allergies and asthma. Now Lennox will apply the expertise available through AAFA to better educate consumers on the harmful effects of poor indoor air quality on individuals and families.”
