The FrostKing DTMV multi-voltage defrost timer can be used with air defrost (compressor shutdown) and in electric or hot gas defrost systems where the defrost is terminated by the timer or when the coil is frost free, as sensed by a temperature or pressure switch, even though the programmed defrost termination time has not been reached, the company says. The time termination functions as a fail-safe and will terminate defrost if the temperature or pressure switch fails to do so. The unit is field adjustable for 120 or 240 V, and has 30-A rated contacts. Features include real-time clock face, red or green LED lights to indicate defrost or run cycle, and independently adjustable trippers to allow for full or partial defrost cycles. The board retrofits into competitive enclosures, says the manufacturer.
