  • The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors — National Association (PHCC) (Falls Church, VA) has signed an agreement with Enterprise Fleet Services. The agreement will provide PHCC members with a variety of fleet management services at a lower operating cost.

  • Smitty Belcher, past president of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) (Rockville, MD), was installed on the executive committee of the Center for Military Recruitment, Assessment, and Veterans Employment. The program aims to attract those leaving the armed forces to the construction trades.

  • The North American Retail Dealers Association (NARDA) (Lombard, IL) will hold its 47th annual Institute of Business Management Oct. 4-7, 2002, at the American Air Lines Conference and Training Center in Ft. Worth, TX, adjacent to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport. The conference will include new components for owners and CEOs, the association said.

  • The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) (Quincy, MA) will hold its 2002 Fall Education Conference Nov. 16-20 in Atlanta, GA. The association said the conference will feature more than 40 hands-on career-development seminars and the latest technologies for fire protection and life safety.
