The Luxaire® Performance Plus TS™ split-system central air conditioner features two-stage, Twin-Single technology and a 12-plus SEER rating, the company says. The unit’s Twin-Single control board regulates first- and second-stage operation of the system, automatically adjusting to high gear and engaging both pistons for maximum cooling, while moving to one piston when the cooling load decreases. The manufacturer says the compressor uses less than half the energy required by a traditional air conditioner, and the blower fan saves as much as 65% in energy usage.
