ARLINGTON, VA — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) is currently accepting nominations for its 2003 Excellence in Contracting Awards. According to the association, the awards are presented to HVACR contractors for their performance and service, and are offered in the following categories:

The Excellence in Residential Contracting Award is presented in two sub-categories: companies with less than $1 million in revenues and companies with $1 million or more in revenues. The Excellence in Commercial Contracting Award is also presented in two sub-categories: companies with less than $4 million in revenues and companies with $4 million or more in revenues.

The Excellence in Training Award is presented “to an HVACR con-tractor who has championed education and training initiatives and who has made outstanding progress in raising the HVACR industry’s professional standard.”

The Spirit of Independence Award is given to an individual “who has made significant and lasting contributions to the strength, success, and independence of HVACR contractors in the industry and marketplace. “
