Kennedy High School, located in Burien, Wash., near Seattle, is the first school in a series of schools to implement an advanced air system from Wandell Industries. According to the company, the new air remediation system will provide students and staff with better air quality.

"With competition for admissions into colleges and universities in Washington and across the nation increasing, every advantage students can gain, especially in something as critical as clean air, is welcomed by students, parents, and families."

The air remediation system produced by Wandell Industries enables schools to improve the air quality without having to drastically remodel or overhaul the school's maintenance program.

"The problems indicative of aging schools in this country have amounted to increasing incidences of poor air quality issues in our schools," said Tim Wandell, president and CEO of Wandell Industries. The Wandell System applies a combination of electrostatic filtering, aqueous filtering, and germicidal and UV sterilization to capture and destroy contaminants such as chemical gases, particulates, smoke, odors, mold and milder bacteria, viruses, pet dander, pollen, and other allergens.
