O’FALLON, MO — Nordyne began production of its Maytag HVAC products line in August 2002. The company says it will maintain a two-step distribution chain and is currently selecting distributors and dealers to carry the Maytag products.

Nordyne is offering two lines of Maytag products: the M1010 and M1000 Series. The Maytag M1010 Series carries a 10-year parts and labor warranty. The labor portion of the warranty will be based on street-rate reimbursement, or dealers can arrange for flat-rate reimbursement. The Maytag M1000 Series carries a 10-year parts warranty.

Both the M1010 and the M1000 product lines include split system air conditioners and heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, and packaged products.

Nordyne will market HVAC accessories under the Maytag name as well. Distributors and dealers will be able to sell Maytag-branded programmable thermostats, humidifiers, and electronic air cleaners as part of total home indoor comfort systems.
