The facility is equipped with a full line of hvac equipment, including furnaces, boilers, and air conditioners. The hydronic heating area features the complete Rehau radiant floor heating (RFH) system, which also serves to heat the building. Because the facility is fully functional, contractors can gain hands-on experience while learning how to operate and troubleshoot the equipment.
“We’re showing off every accessory that’s available in the hydronic heating market, from towel warmers to baseboard to radiant floor heating,” said Mark Trujillo, hvac manager at Western Nevada Supply.
Training session topics include boiler startups, troubleshooting boiler systems, and hydronic controls. In-depth coverage of the Rehau RFH system and RFH WarmSourceÒ design software is also provided. All sessions feature a classroom lecture prior to concept application on the working equipment.
“Hydronic heat is clean, high-tech, more efficient, and has a better resale value,” said Trujillo. “We’re establishing the type of relationship our customers want in a growing industry like hydronics. This is a great selling tool for them.”
Western Nevada Supply will offer at least two training classes per week, and its suppliers may also use the center to conduct training sessions.
