Dominion Products and Services, an unregulated entity and affiliate of Dominion East Ohio Gas Co., has introduced a free furnace repair program for homeowners in Ohio, according to an ACCA news release. The company will repair furnaces for free if the homeowner signs up for a $4.95 per month service program.

The program covers most parts and labor (excluding heat exchangers), with service provided “24/7 by a qualified, professional heating contractor.”

According to Scott Robinson of Apple Heating, Inc., Ashtabula, OH, consumers may think that the program is run through the regulated gas utility because of the “use of the Dominion name and logo, together with the billing included on the monthly gas bill.”
