The SolarCoolâ„¢ solar-powered attic vent features an adjustable, tempered glass solar panel that is mounted on a bracket directly onto the vent dome. The bracket is adjustable so that the panel can be tilted or rotated to the south or west for sun exposure and energy collection. The attic vent collects energy from the sun throughout the day and converts it into electricity. This energy powers a high-efficiency, 24-VDC motor inside the attic vent. SolarCool can move up to 800 cfm in attics up to 1,200 square feet; multiple units can be installed for spaces larger than 1,200 square feet. This attic vent allows environmentally conscious homeowners the opportunity to use solar energy for nonstop attic ventilation, states the company.
