Excellence Alliance Foundation has presented a $2,000 scholarship to Michael Marlow Jr., a student at Davidson County Community College in Lexington, N.C.

EAF representatives Trip and Mike Beaver of Beaver Brothers Inc., Salisbury, N.C., made the presentation. The foundation is part of Excellence Alliance Inc., a Hebron, Ky.-based organization made up of 250 members nationwide who are residential and commercial/mechanical contractors.

According to the organization's officials, "The intent of Excellence Alliance is to award as many scholarships as possible for the education of the future workforce in the contracting industry."
