That means the contracting company has earned just the second NATE "100 Percent Certification Compliance" certificate ever awarded by the organization, announced NATE.
At a meeting of the Independent Heating and Cooling Council in Wilmington, John Hentkowski accepted the certificate of compliance on behalf of his company.
According to the certification program, "NATE testing is going strong. By the end of May 2004, over 11,000 NATE tests had been administered this year."
Which NATE tests are most in demand? For service, heat pump and gas are the hottest tests going, with heat pump service in the lead. "The demand for service heat pump tests is nearly double that of gas heating service tests," program administrators said.
On the installing side, gas heating installation tests run neck and neck as most in demand with air conditioning installation tests. Heat pump installation tests come in a distant third, at one-third the testing volume of either gas or air conditioning tests, NATE said.
