A panel of industry experts and consultants from the California Energy Commission, Southern California Edison, Ricca Newmark Consulting, and McDonald's Corp. discussed pending legislation, industry trends, and global strategies that will impact the industry in the coming years.
The roundtable discussions explored opportunities for ahead-of-the-curve investment in energy-efficiency equipment, incentive and rebate programs from utility companies, and California's recent legislation and the impact it will have on the states. Bob Beecroft from McDonald's Corp. provided insights into how the world's leading foodservice retailer plans to counter increasing energy costs and environmental restrictions in purchasing and design. Energy efficiency investments will be an ever-increasing factor for Danfoss' customers who are faced with high energy prices coupled with the role of energy conservation.
"Danfoss products are designed to offer the total lowest life cycle cost," said Lisa Tryson, Danfoss marketing communications manager.
