FARMINGTON, Conn. - Carrier Corp. recently completed its acquisition of Linde Refrigeration, formerly a division of Linde AG. The acquisition cost approximately $390 million, including estimated debt upon closing.

Linde Refrigeration, based in Cologne, Germany, has annual sales of approximately $1 billion, and employs 6,300 people. The company's products include refrigerated display cases and subsystems, as well as industrial and commercial refrigeration products.

"The Carrier-Linde Refrigeration combined entity will provide customers around the world with a wider portfolio of high-quality, technologically advanced commercial refrigeration choices," said Geraud Darnis, president of Carrier Corp. "Building on our complementary geographical footprints and product portfolios, we will be able to better satisfy the requirements of our global customers."
