Nohle is the regional manager of three branches located in New York and Pennsylvania, manager of the Refrigeration Division, and has been employed by Meier Supply since 1995. The award recognizes his outstanding performance, excellent customer service, and his willingness to "go the extra mile."
Meier Supply, headquartered here in Johnson City, employs 96 full-time and 15 part-time associates. The company operates 14 branch locations in New York and Pennsylvania, as well as a 36,000-square-foot distribution center in Johnson City.
The company is a family-owned and -operated business that not only has plenty of Meiers and Nortons, the company said, it has three other names: Central Service Supply, Nohle Refrigeration, and West Side Refrigeration.
"It all started back in 1957," recalled Frank A. Meier Jr., the company's president and CEO. "My grandfather, Frank M. Meier and my dad, Frank A. Meier Sr., started the company in downtown Binghamton, N.Y. It's become a real family business as the years progressed and the family grew but Frank Meier Sr. still keeps an eye on the business in semi-retirement.
"We bought our first branch in 1971," he continued. "It had an established reputation as Central Service Supply, so we have continued to use that name. Later, when we purchased two other branches, they also became known as Central Service Supply. These five branches are located in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Williamsport, and East Stroudsburg, Pa., and in Middletown, N.Y.
"We expanded in the Rochester area with Nohle Refrigeration, and in the Utica area with West Side Refrigeration," he continued. "We now have eight branches and 49 full-time employees."
