Effective immediately, ACCA's national office will be structured into three operating divisions, each led by a division vice president reporting directly to Paul Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. Stalknecht indicated in a memo to the association's officers, directors, and chapter leaders that new opportunities had arisen which are allowing ACCA to streamline its operations to better align functions and manage resources.
"As we enter the association's fourth straight year of growth, I recognize that we must continually monitor our operations to ensure that we are flexible in meeting our members' continually changing needs," said Stalknecht.
Kevin Holland will lead the Business Operations & Membership Division. It incorporates all of ACCA's business enterprises and membership services, including member recruitment and retention; product and event marketing; communications and public relations; educational programming; chapter and industry relations; sponsorship and advertising sales; and information technology.
Hilary Atkins will lead the Finance & Administration Division, which will include human resources, accounting, association governance, government relations, event management, and legal compliance. Atkins will also continue to serve as ACCA's general counsel.
Glenn Hourahan will lead the Research & Technology Division. It will continue to focus on technical services for the HVACR industry; codes and standards; work with related industry groups, and technical product development.
In addition, Stalknecht announced that Sandra Kyles has been promoted to director of conferences and events, and Colleen Van Gieson De Jong will be returning to ACCA in January as director of industry relations.
"It's a privilege to work with the dynamic, talented national ACCA staff," said Stalknecht. "The energy level is high, and our commitment to providing top-notch service to our members is strong. With this new flattened structure in place, we are even better able to meet the changing needs of the HVACR industry going forward."
