The ProTeus Alarm Interface (PAI) is at the center of ProTeus IV, the latest version of the company's computer maintenance management software (CMMS) for facilities maintenance. PAI facilitates instantaneous activation of work orders based on real-time parameters such as alarms and/or events. It also provides the capability for automated printing, e-mailing, or paging to inform technicians of alarm status and actions. According to the company, PAI directly minimizes an employee's time required to read, analyze, activate, and create work orders. For preventive maintenance, runtime triggers prevent a team from either not maintaining equipment enough or maintaining equipment too much.
