The MX Series ModuleFlex modular blower matches with ADP coils, allowing for easy installation into attics, crawlspaces, and other places where larger 13 SEER equipment may not fit, says the company. The MX Series is designed to be easy to stock since its 20.5-inch depth fits ADP's most popular coil sizes; capacities range from 2- to 5-ton sizes.
The model at the AHR Expo is a concept prototype; the modular blower will be available second quarter 2006.
Also designed for 13 SEER applications in space constraint situations is the "Plus-One" coil, which was re-introduced into the marketplace recently. The "Plus-One" coil's design features an extra row in the A-coil, increasing surface area, allowing for higher cfm in a smaller width. This design increases efficiency in a smaller-sized coil.
The ADP booth also includes three computer workstations to allow visitors to demo ADP's new Website, www.adpnow.com; its online warranty application for customers to file equipment claims; and a coil ratings program, which allows sales representatives from ADP to help customers match an ADP coil or air handler with the appropriate heat pump or air conditioner to meet 13 SEER or above.
