“In addition to opening doors to new markets such as home automation and light commercial buildings with central hvac control strategies, this acquisition will affect current and future product design to provide an integrated approach to indoor comfort.”
According to Research Products, Enerzone’s “StatNet” line of communicating thermostats is the largest selling serial port/relay closure thermostat used in the home automation industry. It is designed to work with software used by all major home automation oem’s.
Current operations of the Enerzone Systems Division will remain in Parker, Texas. Research Products is headquartered in Madison, Wis., with plants in Madison; Poynette, Wis.; and Avondale, Ariz.
