"The judging process was made difficult by the sheer quality of the finalists' Web sites," said Kevin W. Holland, ACCA vice president for Communications & Membership Services. "Out of the dozens of entrants, the nine finalists in two categories were uniformly excellent in their approach to creating useful Web sites that are designed to market their products and services."
The winner of the 2004 ACCA "Best Contractors on the Web" in the Residential Category is Shafer Services of San Antonio. Shafer's Web site, located at www.shaferservices.com, was cited by judges as "outstanding in every area," and described as "clean and customer-centered. Scheduling of appointments very strong."
The winner of the 2004 ACCA "Best Contractors on the Web" in the Commercial Category is Shapiro & Duncan of Rockville, Md. The company's site, at www.shapiroandduncan.com, was described as an "overall super job" with "fantastic use of testimonials" and "very graphic friendly" with "plenty of good information."
"ACCA sincerely congratulates the winners, but all of the finalists are to be commended for their commitment to quality and professionalism," said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA's president and CEO.
The other finalists in the residential category were: Simpson Heating & Cooling (www.simpson-heat.com), Cropp Metcalfe (www.croppmetcalfe.com), Colonial Plumbing & Heating (www.colonialplumbing.com), and AAA Heating & Cooling (www.aaaiaq.com). Finalists in the commercial category included: Air Comfort (www.aircomfort.com), Ross Mechanical Group (www.rossmechanicalgroup.com), and CMS Mechanical (www.cmsmechanical.com).
