Florida Awarded $3.5 Million From DOE For Energy Efficiency
The Department of Energy (DOE) announced an award of $3.5 million for Florida’s weatherization and state energy programs. The state will receive nearly $2 million for energy efficiency improvements to an estimated 800 low-income homes. An additional $1.5 million will go towards improving the state’s building energy codes and educating Floridians about energy efficiency in homes, schools, and businesses.
