The new contract includes continued operations and maintenance of the building controls using the Johnson Controls Metasys® building management system that monitors Miller Park's HVAC, fire, security, and lighting systems. The contract has been expanded to include services such as 24-hour remote monitoring from the Johnson Controls remote operations center, all general maintenance responsibilities, and the management of all major mechanical and electrical subcontractors that service Miller Park.
"Under this new contract, Johnson Controls will continue to function as an integral part of our team," said Rick Schlesinger, Brewers executive vice president, business operations. "They have shown the ability to provide comprehensive services that give us peace of mind that the facility operations are being handled so we can focus on baseball operations and the fan experiences."
Johnson Controls currently has six employees on staff at Miller Park and plans to increase that number to 14 to service the new contract agreements. "Johnson Controls and the Milwaukee Brewers are both Milwaukee traditions, and it is exciting that we are continuing and growing this partnership," said John Murphy, vice president, service, Americas and global facilities management, Johnson Controls. "Our building controls technologies and facilities management expertise will assist the Milwaukee Brewers in creating a comfortable and safe environment for the fans and the stadium staff."
