LG Electronics USA celebrated the opening of its new LG Air Conditioning Systems Headquarters outside of Atlanta. At 40,000 square feet, LG said this state-of-the-art facility will support its fast-growing air conditioning systems business and educate engineers, contractors, and technicians about the company’s HVAC technologies.

LG Electronics USA has named Kevin McNamara as senior vice president, sales and operations, for LG’s U.S. Air Conditioning Systems business. In addition, Darren Gibula has been promoted to senior director of operations.

Spectronics Corp. has announced its Spectroline® TES-31 Tamper-Evident Straps to help prevent refrigerant cross-contamination in air conditioning and refrigeration systems and recovery equipment, ensuring the purity of the system and protecting the integrity of the service equipment.

The Appliance Standards Awareness Project (ASAP), the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), and the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) today applauded the success of the Commercial Package Air Conditioners and Commercial Warm Air Furnaces Working Group to negotiate conservation standards for these products.
