The #MasteroftheTrade Scholarship will support 12 individual recipients with funds earmarked for their education in a college or postsecondary HVACR technology program.
The scholarships, which are for new instructors, were established to honor the memory of D. Brian Baker, an advocate for continued learning and professional development in the HVACR industry.
Scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants based on financial need, academic merit, and interest in pursuing a career in HVAC or refrigeration.
The program is designed to support students from historically underrepresented demographics studying architecture, interior design, planning, landscape architecture or engineering.
Fieldpiece created the #MasteroftheTrade scholarship program to give back to the industry it has served for over three decades. The funds will assist recipients in covering college tuition fees or postsecondary HVACR technology program costs.
Funded by the Henderson Foundation and managed by the Greater Kansas City (GKC) Community Foundation, the scholarship is open to students nationwide regardless of affiliation with Henderson.
