The National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) has announced the recipients of its Clean Air Awards for 2016. The award is presented each year to building owners and managers who take steps to significantly improve IAQ by increasing the level or efficiency of their HVAC air filtration system.
The product is constructed to withstand extreme humidity, high velocities, and turbulence and is excellent for use in areas where space is at a premium.
The global air filter market is predicted to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.6 percent during the forecast period of 2016-2020, driven by IAQ concerns, according to a market research report from ReportsnReports.
American Air Filter Co. Inc., d/b/a AAF International, announced it has acquired Flanders Holdings LLC, a leading air filter manufacturer in the U.S. With this acquisition, Flanders will be integrated into AAF, with the combination creating the largest air filter company of its type in the North American and global air filtration markets, said AAF.
An undercharge of refrigerant will cause low head and suction pressures, but that is not the only thing that will cause both pressures to be low. An undercharge will have low condenser liquid subcooling readings on the high side, where a dirty air filter for the evaporator will not produce low condenser liquid subcooling readings.
Measuring the pressure drop over an air filter reveals valuable clues to its influence on a system. This simple test will help a tech determine whether the filter is adequate for the system it is installed in.
The carbon-impregnated filtration media is designed for dust-handling applications that require flame resistance as well as dissipation of static charges.
Advancements in the air filtration industry are expected to draw more than 200 participants to Phoenix April 6-8 for the National Air Filtration Association’s (NAFA’s) 2016 Technical Seminar.
The crystal award rotates each year and is therefore accompanied by a Soaring Eagle plaque that the winning sales representative company will keep. Last year’s winners, Halfpenny Sales, turned in the crystal award for this year’s event.
